Whats App GIF s feature

Facebook owned Whats App consistently keeps on getting improved with new features. And now, it seems that the popular messaging app is working on an improved Status feature that is currently under beta testing.

According to wa beta info ,  a Twitter account that tracks changes in Whats App's beta builds, the app will soon allow users to download a GIF s directly in the chat, if they have links for the same.

An image tweeted by Wa Beta Info shows a beta build (version 2.17.132) of Whats App on Android highlighting the direct GIF download feature.

Currently, Whats App includes GIF support but the same cannot be viewed via shared links. When a user gets a link for a GIF, they have to open it in the mobile browser to view/download the GIF. After the update, users will be able view the GIF s directly in the app by clicking on the 'Tap to download' option.
